Hi Mike - I’m about to start a build of the v3 rotator (though due to inexperience and time limits, it’s liable to be a long-term project). I’d definitely recommend searching through the forum (https://community.libre.space) for previous messages from people building them, and posting there if you run into any problems - the devs are always looking for ways to improve the project and it’s documentation.

They promote an open source ground station and link them up. They use a Raspberry Pi as the computer board and have a controller board that drives steppers or DC motors for Az and El.
