I guess it depends on the application. I use the TM-D710ga and the TH-D72a for Falconsat-3, but they're FM only. If the broader bandwidth is needed for other modulation schemes I guess they're mostly stuck with used radios.

Another option would be to use an SDR radio with a transverter for TX. I have an SDR-based HF rig (the RS-HFIQ by HobbyPCB), and it can handle that bandwidth without a problem. Of course that solution is not plug-and-play.
