Hi all,
I am at present trying to configure 2 817s and SATPc32 with a Samsung N150 windows 7 32bit starter edition netbook and some CT62 equivalent interface cables using the Prolific chipset.
I cannot claim that I yet have success but the one major lesson learnt last night (late) was that you have to install all the software and drivers by clicking on "run as administrator" -maybe obvious and already well written up but I had missed it:)

Hello Jeff, unfortunately I don't have an G6LVB Tracker. But as far as I know, the built in USB-to-Serial adapter doesn't work on 64-bit Windows systems.
Your friend could try an external USB-to-Serial adapter and steer the LVB Tracker via the serial port. May be there are others but the only USB-to-Serial adapter I know that works on 64-bit Vista and Windows 7 is the Prolific single port USB-to_Serial adapter. For Vista 64-bit and Windows 7, 64-bit, you need the latest driver version. It can be downloaded here:

From that page download the "PL2303 Prolific Driverinstaller v1210.zip"

I'm trying to help a new SAT op get his 64 bit VISTA laptop running with SatPC32, LVB Tracker Box(USB), and a Yaesu az el rotor. Does anyone have all of this running on a 64 bit VISTA machine?
