There was an article in a recent copy of Practical Wireless about making a DDRR antenna for 2m out of the ring around the top of a catering-size coffee can. It's not quadrature as such, but I wonder if you could fit such a thing inside the body of the rocket looking down, with its ground plane acting as the bulkhead for the nose cone?
