The problem with development for mobile platforms is that there is no commonality between vendors other than when doing a web based application. That's not viable for ASD as it's intended for offline use.
To do ASD for windows would be a completely new development, as would one for iOS.
I do cross platform ones for the day job and you can end up with the lowest common denominator in terms of functionality.
