Hi Erik,

Since many years I use Home-brewed IOio antenna with Pair of HT Wouxun KG-699E (VHF only) & Wouxun KG-UVD1P (VHF/UHF). This inexpensive portable setup work best for me in full duplex mode, I enjoyed lots of FM Satellite QSO done via this simple yet effective portable setup. I learnt Wouxun brand does not get frontend overloaded like other cheap Chinese radios. I use same portable setup during many public/college demonstration to promote AMSAT activities.

Good luck

I want to get back on the satellites using an HT.  What are some options for handheld/HT radios?  I have an Yaesu Ft5dr but I read its not full duplex.  It seems like the Kenwood D74 has been discontinued as HRO and DX Engineering both dont have the radio in stock.  I live in an HOA neighborhood so an antenna array is not an option.

Thanks and 73
