At this point, I dont know which one that I would like to use. I am using a channel master rotor right now but would like to have some level of automated rotor control so I can concentrate more on operating the satellites than having to keep manually adjusting the rotor to keep pointed at the bird I am working.

Hi Ron,
Which Yaesu rotor do you want to control?
Generally if the Yaesu rotor has connections on the back of the control box for external control it MIGHT work with the LVB Tracker. BUT I cannot say for sure unless I knew which rotor you had in mind to use so I could find the documentation/schematics and see what is available.
Sorry I cannot be more specific.

Since it may be a while before I can afford the az/el Yaesu rotor, is it possible to interface the current lvb tracker with an az only version of a Yaesu rotor ? I have been thinking of this since when I have my satellite antennas setup at home, I use a setup where my antennas are are pointed at a fixed elevation.
