Yes, you do *not* need to connect to a radio.
An advantage of splitting this code into its own executable is that I can maintain it - with too much in the HRD executable it's just too easy to change something in one area and break something else.
Re: Doppler - you can update Kepler files as often as you want, for example download latest data every 15 minutes. Listening to CW beacons on 70cms I hear (and see) no change in pitch at all, so the Doppler's working!

Simon, Before downloading and trying it out can you tell me if the satellite tracking program works without having the radio(s) connected? One of the original versions of HRD that I used allowed me to check passes etc without the need to have the radio in line - the latest version was inoperable unless the radio was there. I stopped using HRD at this point although the well documented problem with the non- functioning Doppler compensation control was another factor.
