[AMSAT-BB] Yaesu rotor question

Curious the life expectancy of a 5400 rotor before rebuilding or doing maintenance. Unlike most rotors that are left in the same position for many QSO's tracking sats they are moving a lot. My azimuth indicator is starting to act flaky. Not sure if the pot needs cleaning or replacing? Mike
