Hi Oscar,
I just got in to satellites and I started with a Yaesu FT-817. It's max power is 5W which is plenty for most satellites. I added a second 817 to allow me to quickly "find" myself on the SSB sats. Reply to me directly and I can share with you my setup.
Cheers!

Hi,
I recently got interested in trying satellite communications. I bought an Arrow antenna and I am wondering which transceiver to get. So far I have found the FT-847, IC-910h and IC-9100.
The FT-847 scares me since it is a bit old, however I have heard it is very good for satellite and EME.
Any advice would be appreciated!!
