I believe that RTTY is built into the TS-2000, I could be wrong.

The TNC cannot run FT8 or RTTY, those modes are sound modes and have nothing to do with packet radio (you need WSJT-X or MMTTY for those). You can do Amtor and you can connect directly to Winlink or some of the raw packet programs.

Hello,Just purchased a Kenwood TS2000.Can anyone tell me if the built TNC can handle digital modes like Amtor and FT-8?I read in the Manuel that it is limited on packet operation. This what the Manuel says: This transceiver has a built-in TNC which allows you to use basic (not full) packet applications. It also says this:Since the built-in TNC has been designed to work with the Packet Cluster Tune {page 53} and Sky Commander II+ {page 83} functions, some of the enhanced TNC commands may not be available. Anyway I have a Rigblaster so not s problem but if the built in TNC can handle it,would make it easier.I use FT-8,RTTY and Echolink and will use SATPC32Thanks in advance.
