I am frequently all by myself on JO-97, the
XWs, CAS-4A and B, and
EO-88 in the evening. These are great linear sats that are woefully underused.

JO97 does have a great downlink signal. THanks for the recommendation Bernie. XW-2A seems to be functioning properly also, without turning off every few seconds. If you are on after dark EO88 is another nice Mode B satellite with a great
downlink signal. It only functions while in darkness, though.
AO92 had a nice pass this morning, but it was only myself and KB9STR on it. It is alive and well! Come and check it out also!

Now that it appears that the XW birds are turning off (for whatever
reason), I was looking around this morning for another linear satellite
to utilize and found JO-97. I worked a couple of stations on this
morning's pass, one of whom happened to mention that there's not much
activity on JO-97. So I wanted to post on here that I worked it this
morning, and despite some kind of data signal (or some kind of QRM) in
the lower part of the passband, the signals were quite good. It looked
to me like JO-97 is a good resource for all of us. Hope to see some of
you on there.
