Hi!
AMSAT will be part of the University of Arizona's K7UAZ Amateur Radio Club booth at the 2015 Science City/Tucson Festival of Books, on the main mall of the University of Arizona in Tucson on Saturday, 14 March 2015. This is a large science fair held yearly in Tucson, and AMSAT is happy to support the K7UAZ club. This is a two-day event, but I will only be able to attend on Saturday. More information about this event is available at:
http://www.sciencecity.arizona.edu/
During the day (0930-1730 local, 1630-0030 UTC), there may be opportunities for on-air demonstrations of amateur satellite activity. I will have my gear in Tucson for this event, and demonstrations would be done either with my WD9EWK call sign or the radio club's K7UAZ call sign. The University of Arizona campus is in grid DM42.
I will post updates during the day from Science City on my @WD9EWK Twitter feed. If you aren't on Twitter, you can still see these updates in a web browser at:
If WD9EWK is used for the demonstrations, I will upload those QSOs to the Logbook of the World, and have QSL cards available on request for those wanting to receive a written confirmation. Please e-mail me with the QSO details. If K7UAZ is used, please direct those QSL requests to the K7UAZ club.
73!
