Hi Justin!
Are you working the sats with a single T7H? If so, how are you getting it to uplink and downlink on different bands?
I use just one T7H. I put the frequencies in the different band VFOs, and then press the BAND button to switch before and after transmitting. I also have an IC-W32A and other radios, but IMO the T7H receiver is more selective and resistant to QRM than the W32A. That stayed back in Phoenix, as I return home with two more radios than I had before the Dayton weekend. :-)
I really love my T7H for repeater and simplex work. For sats, I currently only use it for RX and use a 2M mobile for TX. I'd love to consolidate to a more portable setup.
It's probably not the ideal way to start out on the FM birds, using one radio where you are having to do more work to transmit and go back to receive. Other radios where you can program memory channels with TX and RX frequencies in different bands (most Kenwood and Yaesu HTs, as well as some older Icom HTs) are better to work with, if you want to simplify your operating.
