You nailed it WRT the "new" outreach that is often an unintentional and unrecognized side-effect of virtual club meetings and such, at least in the beginning.
It also presents the opportunity to have a recording of any presentations done at the club meeting. Ours often has someone talk about various topics in what we/they enjoy and capturing it for new or legacy incumbent members to watch or re-watch in exploring something they had not tried before. Club member-presenters tend to be more relaxed if they don't have an obvious camera in their face, making their presentation more relaxed and conversational - and relatable.
