Hi John and the -BB,

Thanks for all the telemetry frames!  If you have received any frames of images, they will appear in FoxTelem, under that tab.  Look there.  They fill in line by line as parts of various blocks are downloaded.  Also, I'll point users to a new Foxtelem release from yesterday...it helps with seeing the progress of blocks being downloaded to assemble the image, etc.  Chris G0KLA is on top of things and does an amazing job. There is a new development version that is worth getting if you're collecting MESAT1 telemetry. Scroll down under development section and grab 1.12z5.   https://www.g0kla.com/foxtelem/index.php

MESAT1 is back in safe mode for the next 3 days or so, as we monitor power budget, impact on the instruments related to the camera, etc.  We are learning a lot about the in orbit bird, but it's slow.  Then we'll request the image again, and likely attempt to take another.   It takes time, so we're being patient.

The images have to be commanded for download, and we'll try to let you know when it's happening...but if you run automated, like you apparently are doing, it's likely you'll get image frames--thanks to your awesome footprint and number of orbits, your telemetry has really been helpful.  Thanks to you, and all the telemetry gatherers out there. Every frame helps.

We are working very hard to help U of Maine with their science mission, which is primary.  And, we all should recall that it's their satellite!  Once that mission is sufficiently concluded, we can look forward to a new bird with a nice V/u linear transponder to use :)

Hi All,

We are in the midst of a testing session with the University of Maine's
first satellite, MESAT1.  We have just (8/10/24 0108utc) sent a stored
test image to ground stations.  MESAT1 remains in HEALTH mode, so
telemetry is on all the time for maybe the next 12-24 hours.

We can especially use telemetry frames to be collected tomorrow during
the 1146utc and 1316utc morning passes. We are attempting to take and
download its first photo.  All telemetry from all around the globe is
welcome and very helpful.

We will likely decrease the telemetry power for an orbit, but increase
again to download the image.  Grab what you can in FoxTelem, and upload
to the server all of your frames!

Thanks for your help!  It's been great thus far.
