One more question. If I had a BLP-200 on the 2m side would it be useful to have high pass filter on the 70 cm side? If so, does anyone have a recommendation or experience with such a thing?

Thanks to Don, too! Didn't see his reply until later.

I have transmitted about 20w through the BLP-200 without issue. Others have done a but more also without issue. I have been using it for more than a year now. The weight savings over the MFJ-916B is pretty crazy. Since I do everything portable and handheld, saving weight in the setup is important. Don, I have considered the Minicircuit BLP-200 for use in my two radio set-up, but Minicircuits rates it for a maximum input power of 0.5 W. Do you transmit through it with a full 5 W or do you bypass it for transmitting or ???

I forgot to mention it in this post that you need to use a filter on a 2 radio setup to prevent desensitization. Mini-circuits BLP-200 and MFJ-916B are 2 that I have used, and I know there are other options.
