Dear Folks:
I have been able to get my computer and the Yaesu FT-736R to play nicely together, and indeed, have had several QSO's with the frequency compensated for by the computer quite nicely (on both AO-7 and FO-29). But, I have now run into a problem.
A few days ago, I was trying to hear myself on the downlink for FO-29. I couldn't hear myself, and started adjusting the frequency controls on SatPC32 to try to find myself on the downlink. I was completely unable to do it. Then, I noticed that whenever I turned on the CAT control on the software (the "C+" toggle), the receive frequency was jumping out of band (explains why I couldn't hear myself). I looked on SatPC32, and it was showing an out-of-band frequency for the downlink.
I have since tried all sorts of things to get that downlink frequency back into the band and can't figure out how to do it. And, tonight, during an FO-29 pass, I noticed that I could only change the uplink frequency but the downlink frequency was stuck where it was (it was in the middle of the downlink passband) and it wasn't being adjusted by the computer at all. So, I suspect I've completely hosed up the CAT parameters.
Can anyone send me an email (hamdan@ix.netcom.com) and walk me through the process of getting SatPC32 properly working for CAT purposes? Like I said, the hardware is working fine. It's the software. It's also the sysop. :-(
I appreciate any help you can give me.
