The satellite is rotating just over 2 RPM The L-Band antenn is on the -Z side of the satellite in the center, between the 70cm turnstiles

All
Using my 440 M2 oscar beam, SSB pre amp, 70 ft hardline to IC910 with AFC on and my PK96 TNC I've been having good results on the D/L with Wisp. Yes the U/L has been a challange but with using my stacked M2 L-band antennas, 60W output and U/L freq set to 1268.698 I've had the best luck so far in getting into the BBS. Low elev seems to work best with high passes usually a no go. Question for the bb, how fast does the sat rotate and where is the L band located?

Thanks Drew, I apprecaite your response.
I could only copy a few lines of the directory at 45 degrees. No trees impeding the signal at that elevation or azimuth. Using 30 foot of LMR600 on the downlink UHF Yagi with SSB preamp. Using 30 foot of Andrews 1/2 Heliax on the L band 22 element M2 Uplink Yagi.
GO-32 passes above 20-30 degrees pegs my s-meter.
I will try again on future passes. I see an 82 degree pass coming up tonight and will give that one a try.

Hi Jeff,
The 435.150 transmitter signal is indeed LHCP, and the .300 is RHCP. We are running slightly less power on the .150 downlink, currently about 400 milliwatts on .150, and 500 milliwatts on .300. The L band digital uplink is certainly a challenge, but it allows us to open the BBS up without incurring some interference problems we have had when using the V band BBS uplink via the SQRX receiver. I run a similar system on L, 10 watts through 50 feet of LMR-400UF to a 24 element looper, with the added problem of long needle pines HIHI. I could really use some time on the chainsaw, and an L-band amplifier or more antenna.

AO-51 PBBS was on last evening; however, seemed to be hard to work. On a 45 degree pass I was receiving about half of the signal level that I normally receive from AO-51 and I was unable to connect using L band and 10 watts (22 element M2 yagi). Normally AO-51 is full scale on S-Meter when above 20-30 degrees. I have polarity switching capability and seemed to be LHCP instead of the normal RHCP. Maybe one of my feedline cables got caught on something and my yagis are pointing in the wrong direction. This has happenned to me before :-)
