Hi Alan,
I have a newbie who is anxiously listening on each pass, but so far
nothing
I monitor ISS digi activity on http://www.ariss.net/. If you scroll down to the bottom where it displays the packet log it also has a time stamp of how long since that packet was received.
Under "Recent Activity" it shows ... 02:11:21:42 : LU8YY-3]BEACON,RS0ISS-4*,W3ADO-1,qAO ... etc. Meaning ISS digi was last heard about 2 days and 11 hours ago.
When ISS is active the time stamps of the recent activity are much closer to current time. Its one way to get a feel if it will be worth listening.
PCSAT can still be occasionally worked on 145.825 MHz also if you want to test out your setup. Just set UNPROTO CQ VIA W3ADO-1 for PCSAT and UNPROTO CQ VIA ARISS for ISS.
