[amsat-bb] FT 897D Freq Control and Data

Good Morning All: Is it possible to connect both DATA and CAT interfaces to one laptop? The transceiver is a Yaesu FT-897D.

I can receive satellite telemetry following a path from the DATA port to TNC to laptop serial interface.

Where do I make the CAT connection to control doppler shift?

Seems like a dumb question but, can DATA and CAT operations really be done simultaneously???
