Try this (if you have still not tried)... In the same place where you set Nova to "Run as Administrator" (That should be in the compatibility Tab) of the shortcut properties), there is also an option to run in compatibility mode. Activate that option also and in the dropdown box select "Windows XP (SP3)".

After installation, changed advanced properties to "Run as Administrator." Switched back to user, and everything works.
