Phil & anyone else,
I would be interesting on information on this as well. There is a fellow club member that is interested in trying satellites. Of course I said that I would help him to be best of my (limited) ability, so anything to help make that more successful would be appreciated.

One of the club members where I'm scheduled to do a satellite presentation has very little vision, but he is VERY interested in getting on the birds.
I don't know yet if he's going to be interested in just the FM birds, or the linear ones as well. I haven't seen his shack yet, so not sure of what equipment (HF/VHF/UHF) he might already have. He did mention he has some Kenwood equipment; he implied that that company's radios are more user-friendly for the visually impaired.
Is anyone on the BB aware of a current active satellite user who is vision impaired whom I might call on for advice - for radio/PC software & hardware
- when the time arises? I may drop a line to Handi-Hams too for their
advice.
Thanks
