Well,
It's sensitive, has a good dynamic range (fewer problems from pages, FM Stereo transmitters) etc.

I don't know what it is about the mini maybe it's the tracking filters but it works well

Andrew,
The Airspy Mini is a very good SDR, you have not made a mistake. At 1,296MHz you'll probably need a LNA.

I have selected the airspy mini based on the fact
It's 12 bits It's got tracking filters It works with sdr sharp, hdsdr, gnuradio, gqrx
Has anyone bought out a satellite specific SDR ?
The funcube dongle is probably the best ?
I have a hack rf as well as rtl sdr and sdr play
