And be careful using longer/heavier antennas on your delicate SMA connector. Consider a adapter to make that SMA a BNC. I'd rather see you wear out a $15 adapter, then tear the center pin connection off the circuit board of your radio, requiring a radio replacement or a $60 repair job.
High-quality SMA connectors are only rated at 3 to 500 connections, and lesser-expensive radios are not using high-quality SMA connectors. Sent from my iPad
