Steve, N2JDQ, Welcome to the wonderful world of satellites. I would hope that you become an AMSAT member as this is the only viable group that takes satellites seriously enough to organize itself (HA!) I am the Local NJ co-ordinator and you will run into me at many hamfests. I man the AMSAT tables and try to demo some sat ops (If I am outside). There are many satellite users around that can be of assistance and you will become familiar with them as you go to some amateur radio club meetings (& hamfests!) On the BB, you will find interesting threads and I would advise you to join the ANS group and get weekly bulletins of satellite interest. Good Luck ! 73, Dee, NB2F NJ AMSAT Coordinator

Welcome and yes, please ask all the questions.
This is one big fun hobby and the folks online are great. Do yourself a big favour and join Amsat if you haven't done already.
73, Stefan VE4NSA

Just want to introduce myself, Steve Raas N2JDQ , As I am brand new to the Birds , yet a long time Amateur. I will be asking many questions Im sure and I am familiarizing myself with the AMSAT Community. I have just recentlypurchased a sat rig and will be slowly erecting a station in the near future. 73's for now.
