Hello fellow V052 fans! Dale I think you must go to bed early as I am on at least one pass most nights (ok, usually late) that lights us both up and n'er a peep from the north! LOL Geez this sat lights up Siberia, northern Canada, central America, at times most all of the US, and the lack of operators is astounding.
Anyway, yes, by all means- anyone who has not at least listened to the strength of the VO52 downlink should do so. It is very strong and consistently good to the horizon. And, I guess going to the point of this thread- largely unused. But with such a wide passband, there is loads of room for many stations so no "2 meter repeater" or DX pileup characteristics.
Just my 2 cents

Dale,
I will agree with you on this. VO52 has the best downlink at my QTH. Wish there was more activity on it also.

Excellent downlink signal. This is another satellite that is under utilized. I heard my downlink great. To bad I was the only one on.
