Did you see the video from the cockpit and the long-range camera? It was pretty clear something happened as the boosters fell off. WAY too much stuff falling to be just the boosters. And the picture in the cockpit shows the cosmonauts vibrating around like crazy. The NASA commentator did not say anything, and then the animation kept showing the velocity going up and up while you heard on the air-to-ground link "we are weightless now".
