Make sure the baud rate is correct.  9600 is plenty fast enough. Make sure you have it set to the same on the radio and the computer.

The +12 should only be turned on for TTL / RS232 converters.  Turn it off.

Hello All,

I am having difficulty connecting SATPC32 to my Kenwood TS2000.
Running Windows 8 and SatPC32 ver 12.9
NOT using a rotor.
For what its worth, the cable that I'm using does work with my MCP. (USB to DB9 serial port)
A friend of mine loaned me a separate cable which was confirmed working on his PC and his TS2000, no change in scenario.

When I launch the software the "PC" indicator on the upper right corner of the TS2000 is present briefly, then goes out in about 15 seconds.
Same result when I attempt to switch satellites in the software.

I have tried running different baud rates but no change. Its currently set at 9600 in the software and the radio.

RTS + 12V box checked
DTR + 12V box checked
Satellite Mode box checked
CAT Delay set at 70
TS2000 is in Sat mode during my tests.

Has anyone ever had similar problems connecting? Am I missing a setting in the radio and/or software?

Any input is greatly appreciated. 73

Kind regards, Mark N3NJ
