I'll set mine up for tonight while I sleep and tommorow while I work. Maybe I should get something then. I have Chromapix SSTV software and I'll have to check my docs but I believe when set to auto receive that it will continually receive pics and place them in an "autosave" folder. Just had a pass of about 42 degrees at 21:13 UTC over the eastern part of the U.S. Grid EM83 and heard nothing. No SSTV, no voice. Looks like I'm going to have to leave the rig and PC running unattended 24 hours a day to have a chance at snagging anything. I should be able to copy this with a vertical right? I'm having some problems with my AZ/EL rotators and don't want to leave them unattended. 73, Michael, W4HIJ
What I did for the pass I captured was I set up a script to fire up an audio recorder a couple of minutes before the pass started, and configured the recorder to stop after 15 minutes (to make sure I really got the end).
I plan on leaving the laptop and transceiver set up like this tomorrow, because I'll be too busy to keep an eye on it.
