I can say that on Chincoteague Island, across from Wallops, there were thousands of people there to watch. The causeway to the island was a traffic jam. There is definitely still some interest.

It's sad the amount of interest the people of the USA has in space anymore. I watched the after launch press conference and there was maybe 10 people there thats it.
