Thanks guys. I'll try going to medium power (10W). 

I'm using the latest software, Kenwood TM-D710 connected via USB to a Linux laptop, and a homemade arrow with 4 ele VHF and 5 ele UHF.
I think 5 kHz steps are the smallest it has, so I can't fine tune the doppler that much.
