In cruising the Internet I found a page covering a FT-736R 2 Meter receiver modification.

It was published by G3RUH & looks like it was in Oscar News publication.

It’s supposed to reduce internal noise & therefore improve 2 Meter reception. It’s pretty simple (changing a Mosfet) but wanted to see if anyone out there has performed this modification and if it actually made any perceived improvement.
