I will second the suggestion of the Kenwood TM-V7A. I had one for a while and it did well on the satellites, a very sensitive receiver. Another one which is good for the Mode J satellites is the Kenwood TM-251A. It is a 2m transceiver with UHF receive. Has one of the most sensitive receivers on UHF ever tested in the QST product reviews. Heard the FM satellites very well.
