The Melbourne, FL Hamfest will be held this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21 and 22, 2016. Melbourne Hamfest is one of the largest hamfests held in Florida and is located about an hour southeast of Orlando, between Cocoa Beach and Vero Beach.
The hamfest is scheduled to open at 1:00pm on Friday afternoon giving you plenty of time to visit the tailgate and tables inside before the AMSAT Forum which you won't want to miss. We've all been hearing about a Geosynchronous satellite project in the works The AMSAT Forum will be presented by Wally Ritchie, WU1Y on Friday, Oct. 21 at 4:30pm in Forum Room A located in the NE Room of the Auditorium. Wally's talk is titled AMSAT 4B - The Geosynchronous Ham Satellite for the Americas. Wally is deeply involved in development tasks dealing with AMSAT 4B and will discuss it's current status and looks forward to answering your questions concerning the project.
AMSAT plans to be on hand on Saturday in the main auditorium with AMSAT materials and answering general questions you may have current AMSAT operations.
