Since ARISSat-1's first three passes over the USA have occurred in darkness, it appears it is in intermittent mode. This is as Gould Smith stated in his post titled "ARISSat-1 Deployed !". That is, "ARISSat-1 will ... go to Low power (intermittent) mode when in eclipse".

On the 145.950 MHz FM downlink, intermittent mode appears to mean about 45 seconds ON followed by 120 seconds OFF. Presumably, other signals from ARISSat-1 follow a similar schedule. I'll check this when I get a chance.

That being said, ARISSAt-1 was heard loud and clear on all of its first three passes over northeastern USA near Binghamton, NY. Specifically, the 04:20, 05:54, and 07:31 UTC passes.

Can't wait until the 09:08, 10:45, and 12:21 UTC passes for my location when ARISSat-1 will enter full sunlight and switch to continuous operation.
