Hi: Some one helped me before with an Orbitron problem but I lost his e- mail address. The problem is I got a new laptop with Vista Everything works except it won,t download the keps on the internet. The strange part it says it is doing the download but it never shows the update on the sat /Orb info on the program. When I first bring the program up on my computer it says to update because they are over 30 days old. So I say yes to up date but it never gets to the program. I have worked it this for quite awhile with no success. Jerry w0sat
I've never had a problem with Orbitron. It just works! Just did an update from Celestrack although it's not the service I normally use. I recommend that you register with Space-Track and set up a favourites list of just the satellites that you're interested in.

Hello Jerry,
I had the same problem on windows 7. How did I solve this? I went to the windows explorer and selected the orbitron directory with the right mouse button and then selected "properties" The entire directory was read only so I couldn't update the kepler data. Just give it a try.
Good luck! 73, Eric

Hi Jerry,
I don't think Vista likes things written to ProgramFiles/Orbitron/TLE. There is a section in the Orbitron help about setting directory paths that might apply.
I'm no Window expert, I just switched to XP, so I'm a few years behind the curve.
