Super Stellar Friday: "The Life & Legacy of Alan Shepard"

May 5, 2011 marks the 50th anniversary of Alan Shepard's historic flight as the first American in space. This Friday, following a special presentation of planetarium show, Tonight's Sky at 7 PM, join Discovery Center Education Director David McDonald for a fascinating look at the life, major accomplishments, space flights, and little- known fun facts of this New Hampshire and American Hero!

The Discovery Center observatory will be open from 7-10 PM. Following the program will be a FREE Skywatch outside with the New Hampshire Astronomical Society including personal telescope advice and assistance. Telescope viewing begins at 7 PM.
