I was curious if anybody wanted to/has already signed up to do a presentation for the rebranded QSO Today Academy? The event is September 9 and 10 I believe but the deadline to sign up for presentations is August 1. I’m willing to do it and I would like to work with some other folks to not only enhance the presentation but also to fill a virtual meeting space that they offer. We need to move on this pretty quickly or we’re gonna lose this opportunity. Presentation slots are 50 minutes with 20 to 30 minutes being a pre-recorded presentation and the rest for Q&A. The deadline for the pre-recorded presentation is September 1.

My concept for doing this is a who, what, when, where, why, how format. In 20 or 30 minutes it’s hard to tell someone everything that we know about satellites work, but it’s enough to give some basic information that points the viewer to where to look for more in Information and to give a decent amount of time for them to ask specific questions. Many audience members for these sessions will have had some exposure with an Amateur satellites do them to ask specific questions after hearing a very generic presentation.

Contact me on list or off list within the next day or two and we can work out who wants to be the front person for this and then we can coordinate the elements of what we’re going to put together.
