Sadly, ARRL reports that Ben Stevenson, W2BXA, has passed away. He was 97 and active on the air almost until the end. See _http://www.arrl.org/news/noted-dxer-ben-stevenson-w2bxa-sk_ (http://www.arrl.org/news/noted-dxer-ben-stevenson-w2bxa-sk)
In addition to the many achievements listed in the article, Ben and I made the first-ever two-way contact by satellite-to-satellite relay in any radio service, using AO-7 and AO-6 in 1975.
Ben was a good friend for nearly 40 years. I'll miss him.

Ray, Sorry about your friend. I don't believe I have ever met him. I'm sure that he has seen me at one of the local hamfests but I speak to so many people passionate about satellites. This end of the hobby is unique and we miss anyone who has been a satellite brother. We miss you in NJ Too... Thanks for the info. 73, Dee, NB2F
