Hi Everyone,
I downloaded and installed Fox Telem, left my MacBook on all night with my NooElec SDR (USB) connected hoping to record and upload data. Nothing happened. Do I have to do something more? Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I am running win 7 and when I try to run foxtelm it ask to download Java. I take all the defaults and Java reports installed but foxtelm can not seam to find it. Fox telim.jav runs but when I copy ao 91 it complains about sat id.

Hi all,
This is my first message to this group since I'm new to satellites and have only a few QSOs under my belt. Still I managed to record and decode two passes of Fox-1D so far. I thought that it might be interesting for those of you that missed today's High Speed Data pass to have a recording of it, so I went outside and recorded the 16:33 UTC pass using my SDRPlay RSP1A and an Arrow II antenna. The video below is some of that IQ recording being played using SDRUno and then the audio being played to Foxtelem using a vistual audio cable. I have the full pass IQ recorded but kept the video at 5min.

Please excuse the fading of the signal at times. I was hand holding and aiming the antenna and I am new to this + it was quite windy.

Two More US Schools/Groups Move Into Phase 2 of ARISS Selections
January 13, 2018 - The ARISS-US team (Amateur Radio on the International Space Station) is pleased to announce that two more US schools or organizations have had their ARISS proposals selected for advancement to the next stage of planning for amateur radio contacts in 2018. These schools will take advantage of new scheduling opportunities to speak with International Space Station (ISS) crew members using the ARISS equipment.
The selected schools submitted proposals before the proposal window closed last November and join the 13 schools and groups chosen a few weeks ago. The two extra scheduling opportunities are special events thanks to ARISS's two major sponsors, the NASA Space Communications and Navigation group and the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space. The events that the schools' students will travel to are aerospace conferences where their ARISS radio contacts will be a highlight open to conference attendees.
The schools and venues are:
? Quest for Space/Quest Institute for Quality Education in San Jose, California, whose ARISS contact will be featured at the ISS R&D Conference, July 23-26 in San Francisco, California
? Burns Science & Technical Charter School in Oak Hill, Florida, whose ARISS contact will be featured at the S.P.A.C.E. Conference, July 11-13 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center.
ARISS's primary goal is to engage young people in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities, and to involve them in activities related to space exploration, amateur radio, communications, and areas of associated study and career possibilities.

Fox 1-D, I don't believe that they've posted telemetry files yet as they need to identify which object it is, in the amsat list object a-f, t, and u. Perhaps someone else may comment.

Hi Stefano,
Great to hear that you are trying to decode telemetry. You probably need to sit and watch a few passes before it will work unattended, just to make sure you have all the settings right.
If you are using the RTL, make sure you have it connected through a virtual cable to FoxTelem from the SDR. You should see the bit pattern and eye diagram when a beacon is being transmitted. There are examples of the eye diagram in the pdf manual. Take a screen shot and share it for advice if it is not decoding.

I am running win 7 and when I try to run foxtelm it ask to download
Java. I
take all the defaults and Java reports installed but foxtelm can not
seam to
find it. Fox telim.jav runs but when I copy ao 91 it complains about sat id.

Hi all,
This is my first message to this group since I'm new to satellites and
have
only a few QSOs under my belt. Still I managed to record and decode two passes of Fox-1D so far. I thought that it might be interesting for those of you that missed today's High Speed Data pass to have a recording of
it,
so I went outside and recorded the 16:33 UTC pass using my SDRPlay RSP1A and an Arrow II antenna. The video below is some of that IQ recording being played using SDRUno
and
then the audio being played to Foxtelem using a vistual audio cable. I
have
the full pass IQ recorded but kept the video at 5min.

Please excuse the fading of the signal at times. I was hand holding and aiming the antenna and I am new to this + it was quite windy.

Two More US Schools/Groups Move Into Phase 2 of ARISS Selections
January 13, 2018 - The ARISS-US team (Amateur Radio on the International
Space Station) is pleased to announce that two more US schools or organizations have had their ARISS proposals selected for advancement to the next stage of planning for amateur radio contacts in 2018. These schools will take advantage of new scheduling opportunities to speak with International Space Station (ISS) crew members using the ARISS equipment.
The selected schools submitted proposals before the proposal window
closed last November and join the 13 schools and groups chosen a few weeks ago. The two extra scheduling opportunities are special events thanks to ARISS's two major sponsors, the NASA Space Communications and Navigation group and the Center for the Advancement of Science in Space. The events that the schools' students will travel to are aerospace conferences where their ARISS radio contacts will be a highlight open to conference attendees.
The schools and venues are:
? Quest for Space/Quest Institute for Quality Education in San
Jose, California, whose ARISS contact will be featured at the ISS R&D Conference, July 23-26 in San Francisco, California
? Burns Science & Technical Charter School in Oak Hill, Florida,
whose ARISS contact will be featured at the S.P.A.C.E. Conference, July 11-13 at NASA's Kennedy Space Center.
ARISS's primary goal is to engage young people in science, technology,
engineering, and math (STEM) activities, and to involve them in activities related to space exploration, amateur radio, communications, and areas of associated study and career possibilities.

Fox 1-D, I don't believe that they've posted telemetry files yet as they need to identify which object it is, in the amsat list object a-f, t, and u. Perhaps someone else may comment.
