I have a couple passes tonight, but I'm not sure if Delfi-C3 will be in eclipse or not. Can someone tell me?
My first pass begins at about 0342 UTC, and the second begins at about 0516 UTC.
Thanks!
In SATPC32 - use the "S" option to turn the "Sun Line ON/OFF" and status of satellite will show "SAT in SUN" or "SAT in ECLIPSE" beside your QTH co-ordinates in top left corner.
Thus, the satellite may be over the dark side of the earth while its elevation will put it up into the sun.
Very handy for AO-7 too.
Can't give you specific info as you didn't tell us your QTH. Need more than just the 4 character grid square.

Ah, I'm on a Mac...

My QTH shouldn't be necessary to tell if the satellite is in or out of eclipse at a given time, right? I just need to know if it's out of eclipse in the 10 - 15 minutes after each of these times (tonight):
0342 UTC 0516 UTC
Unless I'm completely forgetting something...
According to NOVA Delfi-Ce emerges from eclipse at approx. 0523utc, today. It is still daylight here at 0506 and sun will set at 0552. We have 15h 39m daylight at this time of year (sunrise is 1413utc/ 6:13am local).

Since I am new at the "which object is which object game"
My grid is FN20XW and Delfi-c3 entered the sun at approx 02:06:25 UTC on tuesday April 29th again in UTC.
I am using the preliminary keps from the Delft site prior to the launch and had a chance to load all the other "objects" into satpc32.
I am guessing that Delfi-c3 is object D.
Again I have audio and decoded text on my site.

Allow up to +/-1 minute or so depending on which of the KEPS for objects A thru G or the original April 26 KEPS you are using.
I thought B and D were closest to being the right object in my opinion???
Caught a few strings of data that Rascal automatically uploaded to their server.
Wow was it loud! with my humble FT-847, internal preamps only and GulfAlpha 5 element VHF at no more than 20'

Good hunting everyone and well done Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands.

Thanks, Alan! I was able to get strong signal on both passes. I'm fairly sure that Delfi-C3 started transmitting at 05:20:48 UTC (+/- a couple seconds).
