Thank you, Tom, for the AO-51 "collision" warning. What an email message to receive: "Guys, a project that you've spent years on that has opened up the world of amateur radio to thousands might be destroyed by a piece of space junk tomorrow ... "

Looking at it another way, AO-51/? would become another piece of space junk to help destroy another working satellite in the future.. Heck of a legacy to leave.
