Hi All,
We have now concluded that FUNcube-1 is indeed Satellite Number 39444 and International Designator 13066AE.
The Celestrak cubesat.txt and amateur.txt files now show the correct name FUNCUBE (AO73) for this object.
Many thanks for your patience!
(AO)73

Graham,
This probably sets a record for the amount of time needed to unambiguously identify a satellite. I expect this will become more common due to the similarity of CubeSats and the launch mechanism.

Excuse my dumb question!
Does this mean that AO73 can be now downloaded in the KEPS???

Rich,
You have been able to download it for weeks. However, the wrong satellite was identified with it. Using the SatPC32 AMSATNAMES.TXT you can identify a satellite with the official numbers, which I did a few weeks back. Put in the line
39444 13066AE AO-73
in the file, or edit the existing one, and you will get the right AO-73 object. Note that the current NASA.ALL file has the old identification, and will probably be updated later this week.

I would add that Celestrak's AMATEUR.TXT file has had 13066AE listed as FUNCUBE (AO-73) for a little while now.

I should have said that Celestrak's AMATEUR.TXT has had 10366AE listed for a while. The name was only changed from DNEPR OBJECT AE to be FUNCUBE (AO-73) today. I had AMSATNAMES.TXT set up so I did not notice the change.
Sorry for the incorrect info.
