I certainly hope that there will be a replay. The flight controllers are still monitoring the flight. Apparently they are checking orbits and bringing the booster back in. I would call it a pretty flawless flight. Now it's up to the satellites to do well.

Got to admit. I'm 57 years old, and I'm still as geeked watching this on the 'net as the Apollo shots. Way Cool.

Jeez, I'm 88, and maybe more geeked than the first one I ever watched, on TV, years ago.....

The launch went well. It was visible from Eagle River (North of Anchorage) and south. I was watching on the computer with a live feed. It was a successful launch from Kodiak Launch Complex. 'The other Cape'. Narrow Cape Alaska. Alaska Aerospace Development Corporation. Lets see what comes from the seven satellites on this launch.

We missed seeing the contrail from the launch, though we were going to try to see it here about 170 miles north of Kodiak. Nice set of photos of the launch vehicle and the satellites on this website.
I was busy finishing up a day outside repairing the base structure of my 16-foot dish that suffered wind damage early in the week. I got the dish temp. propped with 4x4 timbers and removed the angle-iron from both sides of the mount. I was in the midst of feeding my six sled dogs at launch time. Pretty tiring working in 15F wx outside. Tomorrow, I will install 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 square tubing to replace the bent 3-inch angle-iron. Wind gusts to 50mph resulted in 2500 lbs of wind force on the dish.
There were pictures of the contrail on TV news tonight taken from Homer, AK about 70-miles closer to Kodiak. Skies were perfectly clear.
