Re: Government control has exceeded constitutionallimitations.
Does anyone have any idea as to why only these two sites are still operating? Is that the only directions we have expectations of inbounds or is there some other reason? I would have thought by now we would have several other ways to detect objects.

PAVE PAWS operates in conjunction with BMEWS (Ballistic Missile Early Warning System) and MDS (Missile Detection System, a satellite based system). The PAVE PAWS primary mission is detection of submarine launched missiles, thus their orientation out to sea. They also supplement other detection systems in a concept known as 'dual phenomenology', i.e. detecting an oject using more than one source/system. This assures the observation is valid and accurate.

The East Coast, West Coast and Alaska sites protect from the East, West and North. The WALL should protect us from the South, unless the Rio Grande is at flood stage and wash outs occur. HI
PS: The Alaska site keeps tabs on Santa Clause is worth keeping them all in operation!

Considering the great circle routes for unexpected gift packages from DPRK or PRC , it probably has other applications, too.
