I few years ago I acquired a ThumbNet USB Rtl-sdr dongle. They were made available by a group called Thumbsat (thumbsat.com). I have never used it but it appears different than the N3 they now have available. I can’t find any of my documentation. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this item. I hope to try using it with SDR#. The only experience I have in this area is with a funcube dongle, which I have misplaced. If anyone has suggestions or can point me toward some documentation I would appreciate it.

I have a thumbnet N3 which I seem to recall is pretty much like the original thumbnet dongle but with a few improvements. Both should work just like any other RTL sdr dongle with SDR Sharp.

latest versions of SDR Sharp still include all the bits and pieces for installing these RTL dongles, at least it did the last time I looked which was some time ago.

I’ll check out your link. I downloaded SDR# and ran through setting it up, following the directions in your link. It seems to be working. But, Doh, the dongle has an F connector. So something needs adapted to connect to an antenna. With my inability to find stuff, I am guessing somewhere here there is the right combination of coax and connectors to make a feed line. *Sigh* Nothing good without a hassle!

Try PL259.com. They have F connector to PL 259 adapters.
