LituanicaSAT-1 Transponder Off
Good evening,
It appears that the LituanicaSAT-1 FM transponder was off over North America at 0121Z. Strong signals were heard from the FM morse beacon. I will listen to my recording and decode the telemetry.

Here is the telemetry frame decoded at about 0124Z in Washington, DC, USA (FM18lv):

CW Telemetry beacon, as decoded by FLDIGI here in CM98 on the 6/2 0600z pass. My rotor controller doesn't do flipped operation, so the 3rd frame got trashed by the rotor needing to swing around as the satellite passed through North. Some errors in the frames, but for the most part, during the frame itself, the signal was full quieting. It seemed like the very front of the frame (call sign?) was at a low power setting, then jumped up for the main part, and then at the end a few dits, seconds apart, at low power.
This was my second attempt (first success) at copying the beacon. Hope this helps,
Greg KO6TH

I've been asked to attempt some communications with a 9.6k satellite which requires KISS mode. My problem is that when I set the KPC-9612+ to port 2, the 9600 baud port, then using HyperTerm to issue the INTFACE KISS followed by RESET, the TNC returns to port 1.
There must be some way to either keep it set to port 2 after KISS is entered, or enter some magic keystrokes to set it to port 2 while in KISS.
Anyone have the answer? The manual wasn't any help.
Tnx, Ken, W7KKE
During the 0350Z pass, it appears that batteries discharged and LO-78 has reverted to CW FM. Telemetry indicates battery voltage of 6.9 Volts, and I believe it needs to recharge to 7.4 before the transponder is active.

Paul Lituanicasat has passed two times over GG54 apparently with transponder off , just telemetry in FM CW working . I got some frames using the brain computer ; 2MAY2014 19:16UTC LY5N V 421 3702 7674 C0120112 TP32 S63 LY5N V 421 3708 7674 C0120112 TP32 S63 LY5N V 386 4473 8474 C0130112 TP32 S63 2MAY2014 21:00 UTC Nothing heard !
