Jeff, Assuming you mean "MCP D7G",This works fine for me on 2 laptops with XP pro, SP2 and a desktop with XP home /SP2. I used the serial cable supplied with the radio and an ordinary serial rs232 plug wired up to the cable.
One laptop is usb only and the software worked fine with a generic usb to serial adapter.

Yes. I should've included the model number, MCP D7G, of the software for better reference. Glad to see that it does work FB on XP pro SP2, which is what I'm using. After thinking about it. That software was released in January 2002, about the same time XP was hitting the market if I remember correctly. Maybe early episodes made it neccessary to write such a disclaimer.
