Hello...does any one have a copy of replacing meter lamps with LED's. Any help appreciated. Tks Bruce ke0lx Amsat #30873
Hi Bruce, KE0LX
The pilot lamps PL1 and PL2 for Meters M1 and M2 are connected to terminals 4 and 5 of transformer.
To replace a lamp with a led connect the anode A of a led to katode K of a diode and katode K of led to anode A of diode then connect a 1.5 k resistor in series.
If only one withe led is not sufficient to well illuminate the dial connect two or more led in parallel reducing 1.5 k accordingly.
I have not tried it on bench but it should work.
